COO
Chris Mills
Hi, I’m Chris. At i2x Solutions, I’m all about turning problem-solving into a repeatable process. Sure, every client has unique quirks, but most organizations wrestle with the same core challenges. That’s where I come in—finding ways to harness technology to untangle these common, abstract problems and make life a little easier..
Professional Overview
I’m an academic-turned-practitioner with over a decade of rolling up my sleeves and building, tweaking, and supporting large-scale software systems—especially in the LegalTech space. I earned my M.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics (2011) and my Ph.D. in Software Engineering (2019) from Florida State University. I love digging into a client’s pain points and crafting smart, sustainable solutions. Put me under pressure, throw me the toughest challenge on the board, and that’s when I’m in my element.
Background
For nearly 15 years, I’ve been working alongside law firms to solve operational headaches. I got my start at Aderant as a technical consultant, helping with workflow design and training. From there, I shifted gears to software engineering, contributing to projects like Expert Time and Expert Collections. Eventually, I found myself on the Client Response Team, tackling the most complex issues for clients. After Aderant, I made a quick stop at the Florida Department of Education as a web architect, where I helped modernize their Individualized Education Program (IEP) management system. It was there I realized: no matter the industry, many operational struggles are the same. That insight led me to i2x, where I first joined as Chief Research Officer, building conversational user interfaces for modern practice management tools. These days, as Chief Operating Officer, I focus on how we can deliver services that don’t just check the box—but make a real impact.
Why i2x?
I came to i2x because helping clients isn’t just part of the job—it is the job. Here, we live by a “people over problems” mindset, which means we treat every client relationship as a true partnership, not just a project on a spreadsheet. That’s what makes this place special, and why I’m all in.
